Process West Transmission Cooler — Next Gen Ranger Raptor

The Next Gen Ranger Raptor's 10R80 transmission relies on airflow through the front of the vehicle to shed heat. In sustained towing, sand driving, low-range work and slow track driving, that airflow is at its lowest while the transmission is under its heaviest load. Fluid temperatures rise and stay elevated. Prolonged operation at elevated temperature shortens the service life of the fluid, which is what protects the clutch packs and internal components.

The Process West kit adds dedicated cooling capacity to the transmission circuit, giving the vehicle more thermal headroom in those conditions.

Fitting a transmission cooler is not a requirement of tuning, and it will not change the outcome of a tune. It is a durability measure for vehicles that regularly operate in high-load, low-airflow conditions. We supply and fit the Process West kit, and can advise whether it is warranted based on how the vehicle is used.
